In fact, it wasn’t until 1954 that Armistice Day was renamed “Veterans Day” and the holiday became a day to recognize veterans of all wars, not just World War I (and that’s your history lesson for the day).

At today’s Board of County Commission meeting, one hundred-plus building industry executives, business owners and workers took time out of their busy work schedules to stand up for the industry’s efforts to keep impact fees at a reduced rate.
